Building A Terrarium
My college roommate Allaire really introduced me to terrariums. At first, I was a little reluctant to try making one but a few years passed and terrariums exploded all over the internet (especially on Pinterest!)
Now terrariums were all over the place. In Michaels Craft Store you can even buy a variety of fake terrariums to decorate with.
With all of this in mind, and some jealousy over Allaire's very attractive globe terrarium, I thought I might try my hand at building a terrarium to plant some air plants (tillandsia).
I ordered some glass globes from Ebay of various sizes and shapes. Then I ordered my air plants from Twisted Acres, an Etsy seller, after the globes had arrived.
Once I had my plants and globes, I dropped by my local Michaels crafts store for the finishing touches and decorations.
The final products were really stunning and they took me only about thirty minutes to craft and hang!

Bagged moss/lichens, sand, glass pebbles, twine, and a hanging display stand that I found in the picture framing department
The final products were really stunning and they took me only about thirty minutes to craft and hang!
The teardrop globe (sand, glass beads of peach, pink, cream, and turquoise)
The double hooked globe (purple Spanish moss, green reindeer moss, and some flaky black lichens)
The dwarf globe (sand, purple Spanish moss, green reindeer moss, and black lichens)
Hanging in the window from the twine
The picture frame hanger holding the teardrop globe
The whole window garden gang
