Time to Say Goodbye
As I embark on my move the Dallas, I have to scale back on my garden. Some of my plants, like the dwarf rhododendron, are not meant for the subtropic weather in full sun. Thankfully, I have a friend that is just about to start her own garden. So, my plants have gone to live with her. She's taken in my lucky bamboo, the rhododendron, my air plants, and a succulent. I've also given her a ton of pots, fertilizer, bug spray, with some odds and ends.
My boss at work has adopted my smaller lucky bamboo stalks and my umbrella plant. They have a nice new home in her office. Hopefully, she isn't a serial plant killer!
As well, one of my other co-workers wanted a "weird but hard to kill plant". I have just the thing for her - my "Key Lime Pie" succulent. That thing has grown so much since I first bought it. It looks like something from an alien planet now, with its fuzzy stem and tentacle like flowers. I think her and her 2 boys will love the odd lil guy.
My lucky bamboo trellis, which I first planted when I arrive in Indy as my firs house plant, needed more space to grow. I decided to dress up its new pot with some starfish as a gift to my friend.

And there's this guy, a succulent I like to call "Seymour" for obvious reasons. This guy took over the window in my dinning room and grew like, well, a weed! (Pun intended). He even grew some little succulent babies to join him.
I hope they enjoy their new homes and keep on growing!
