Reporting Mixup
Something has been bothering me since I did a mass replanting of my plummies. The big issue I was having was how come Nebel's Rainbow, which was only 1 year old and petite, suddenly went from single stemmed to a 3 branched tree that was about the size of the 2 gallon plummies from Jungle Jack. Further, why was the 2 gallon Star White from Jungle Jacks so tiny? No branching, and much shorter than the Cote de Or and Melody.
Honestly, it didn't dawn on my until I was going over my original photos that the issues wasn't with the plummies-- it was with my labeling!
I hadn't been paying proper attention to my labeling while repotting last summer. I had forgotten that Nebel had been leaning so I used the post from Star White, with out removing the tags first, and put it into Nebel to correct the lean.
But while working on replanting them, I've completely mislabeled them. You'd think it would be simple, that its just Nebel and Star that got switched but I can't trust myself. Cote de Or is very obvious from the photos because he's got a wonky short arm and the tag is very clear in the photo. As for Melody and Star White, those both have 3 arms and the tags are facing away from me in the photo.
So this is where we're at: Both plummies are 3 branched and 2 gallon sized. This leaves me very anxiously awaiting blooms! Of course both are "star shaped" pointed flowers so this might be a race to the wire to identify these guys!
