Inside the Greenhouse
Here are just some of the pictures I took of my greenhouse project.
I bought this spider plant in June. I've already had to trim and plant its spiderettes twice. At first I had planned to sit it out on the shelves until I remembered I had a hanging hook. So I hung the spider plant up.
And here's the spiderettes in a whimsical goldfish planter. I'm hoping once the little ones really take off it will create an amusing waterfall effect sprouting out of the goldfish.

My tools, which I keep in this adorable watering can plant holder, a homemade humidity tray to keep the greenhouse moist, and toilet paper rolls. This is a Pinterest idea I happened upon. Using old toilet paper rolls as seedling planters. I had some chicks and hens my sister gave me. They were unseated by high winds and their planter was broken so I had to resort to other means to save them and make sure they root properly.
The new additions. They've been given a special spot on the shelves. I have plans for them as hanging baskets for next year.
And of course the plumeria. The Penang Peach is all by itself under the shelves. Not only did it form an alarming lean but it too was knocked over by the wind and was badly damaged. Its lost most of its leaves as well as several holes in its trunk from course gravel. I hope the greenhouse will keep it safe and give it time to mend but so far things seem a bit bleak.
Overall this is the finished product for the season. I think it makes a lovely sight. I go out in the mornings to enjoy the sun coming through the green leaves.
My own little haven in the winter days to come.
