Upcoming -----Summer in Texas is sweltering but these plants like it hot!

 My apartment's porch is hot in the summer. Poured concrete slab and black metal bars on a southern facing open incline. A real recipe for heat!

Thankfully, since I moved to Texas in 2017, I learned a few tricks to fight the heat. And I've also learned which plants will flourish in the heat and humidity and which plants get burnt --- literally!

Coming up is my porch garden. The drought resisters, the tropical tempters, and the sunburnt washouts are all there! 

Next time we'll pull back the mosquito netting and see what's growing in the garden!
