Plant Shopping on May 7th
I went plant shopping today because the air condition was broken in the apartment and I needed an excuse to get out of the house and enjoy someone else's air conditioning! (And buy a fan. A fan is very important.)
So I stopped by Home Depot to check out their flowers....and to be honest most of their flowers were terrible! They were wilted, sun burnt, and browning. The only flowers that were doing good were the ones outside that they were pushing as the specials and the specialty flowers (such as roses, lilies, hibiscus, and orchids.) What a disappointment! I had really hoped to get a fuchsia to attract some hummingbirds but sadly, their fuchsia were so wilted and limp that it was heart breaking!
Thankfully, I was able to find some gold among the rubble. Three succulents and an orchid for my window garden.

Now I just have to decide how I want to plant my succulents. I'm very tempted to try one of those really beautiful new hanging vases I've been seeing on Pintrest like crazy! Suggestions and inspirations are always welcome.
